Small purple lights meant to be pointed at a surface rather than at your guests. Aim one at a wall, or straight up at the ceiling, and the colour bounces back and fills the room, so the light seems to come from everywhere at once instead of from a lamp in the corner. It is the difference between a decorated room and a room that feels like somewhere else entirely.
$10 each and we have three. Three spaced around the edges of a room will cover it; two is plenty for a corner, an entryway or a single wall.
